We are looking for a reliable and organised Crew Resource Planner to join our operational team.
The Resource Planner is responsible for efficiently allocating staff to meet business needs, ensuring that the right personnel with the appropriate skill sets are assigned to the right tasks. This role involves managing schedules, coordinating resource availability, and ensuring optimal utilisation of personnel throughout the country.

Key Responsibilities:
Workforce Allocation:
* Assess resource needs and allocate staff according to skills, availability and job requirements.
* Ensure that all staffing requirements are met promptly, adjusting as necessary based on workload and priorities.
Schedule Management:
* Develop and maintain staff schedules, ensuring that all shifts are appropriately staffed.
* Monitor staff attendance and track time-off requests to prevent staffing shortages.
* Work closely with department heads to ensure staff skills align with job requirements
* Maximise the crew’s work hours while adhering to our health and safety policy
Resource Forecasting:
* Collaborate with managers and team leads to forecast staffing needs for upcoming projects, peak times, or specific tasks.
* Anticipate gaps in skills or resources and recommend adjustments.
Communication:
* Act as the primary point of contact for staff scheduling issues, concerns and conflicts.
* Ensure effective communication between the team, management, and other departments.
Problem-Solving:
* Resolve any scheduling conflicts or staffing shortages by adjusting resource allocations or reassigning personnel as necessary.
* Manage urgent staffing requests and find solutions quickly.
Logistics planning and Fleet Management:
* Allocate drivers and vehicles to Out of Town jobs
* Ensure that the drivers are well rested, have all relevant documentation and have been allowed sufficient travel time between jobs.
* Do routine vehicle inspections and arrange MOT’s and maintenance when necessary
Administration support:
* Ensure all crew members have completed profiles on our scheduling system
* Work closely with the crew manager to create reports on crew performances
* Cross-check locations on our scheduling system
* Any ad hoc duties that may arise
On Call Out of hours:
* Be available to the crew 24 hours a day on a 5-week rotation including weekends
* Allocate any new work that comes in
* Resolve any issues or emergencies that may arise
