Salary: £55,000 - £60,000
Job Purpose: To form part of the Business Development Team in meeting Sales Targets and company objectives - both renewals and new opportunities.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Manage the bid and resource coordination process involving both direct and indirect staff management.
2. Propose innovative solutions to deliver client requirements.
3. Maintain industry knowledge to keep abreast of competitors' methodologies.
4. Provide information and prepare proposals, including solution and option appraisal of new methods of FM Service delivery to identify valid and viable commercial delivery options.
5. Adopt a proactive approach to continuous improvement in communications, management procedures, and systems to maximise profitability and improve operational efficiencies.
6. Manage the implementation of 'best practice' arising from consultation and liaison with external bodies and other EFS divisions.
7. Ensure meaningful commercial and operational data are established through the implementation of common practices across the division.
8. Utilise the client's BMF Estimating package/system to verify the validity of bids.
9. Obtain specialist subcontractor costs.
10. Read and understand client requests/documentation.
11. Formulate bids based on BDM briefs where required.
12. Labour load asset information.
13. Attend site visits as required across the UK as part of the bid process.
14. Assist in the production of correspondence and documentation.
15. Update Pipeline Reporting System and contribute to the generation of BD Management information reports.
16. Attend Divisional Bid Meetings.
17. Progress submitted tenders.
18. Assist in the formulation of tender returns.
19. Establish agreed benchmarks for performance.
20. Measure performance versus contracted requirements.
21. Identify a broad range of cost-saving initiatives in line with contractual obligations.
22. Interact with client organisations as required, providing meaningful reports and proactive data and information.
23. Perform other duties as directed by the Commercial Manager.
Requirements to meet for application:
1. Educated to HNC/HND Standard (or equivalent).
2. Excellent management experience.
3. Must hold a relevant qualification in quantity surveying (degree level preferable).
4. Experience working within a QS capacity.
5. Relevant experience of estimating within the FM Industry.
6. Experience of working in an SFG20 environment is desirable.
7. Proficient IT skills including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
