Direct reports: a team of Warehouse Supervisors and Warehouse Operatives
Overview:
etag are with our customers from the beginning to the end of a project. With warehouses in Essex and Dublin, our friendly and knowledgeable team work together with our suppliers to ensure our customers have the right materials for the job, supplying thousands of construction products to site nationwide.
We are looking for a dynamic and resourceful individual to join our team as a Warehouse Manager. With experience of working in a fast-paced distribution-centre environment, you will oversee our warehouse and team of Supervisors and Operatives. The ideal candidate will develop and implement best practice around warehouse and stock management, safety and team development as well as be an active part of the development of our service offer from our site.
The role:
* Lead a team of Warehouse Operatives and Supervisors.
* Responsible for organising the safe storage of warehoused products.
* Responsible for ensuring all warehouse operations are conducted in a safe manner and colleagues have up to date and relevant training.
* Overseeing the logistics of goods-in, day to day stock accuracy and goods-out operations.
* Using real-time data collection to increase accuracy and improve productivity.
* Maintaining high stock accuracy.
* Ensuring the high quality and accuracy of goods or equipment received and shipped out.
* Enforcing health standards, safety and security procedures.
* Enforcing company rules and regulations.
* Managing staff, building teams, training employees and monitoring production performance.
* Communicating and interacting with clients, vendors, suppliers and customers.
* Work closely with other company departments to ensure we have the right stock in the right volumes at the right time to enable us to meet our customer's needs.
* Ensure all machinery and tools utilised in the running of the warehouse are maintained and kept in excellent working order.
* Provide effective solutions that enhance our service offering
* Identify areas for improvement in policy and process to ensure excellent customer service
* Work collaboratively with key stakeholders across the business to ensure business goals are met
* Mentor and develop the warehouse team, identifying processes that drive continuous improvement
* Monitor team wellbeing, absences, attendance and performance issues, acting promptly and in line with policy
Skills:
* Excellent leadership ability and relationship-building skills
* The ability to see the bigger picture and understand how this role fits into etag’s plans for growth
* Strong IT skills including working knowledge of MS Excel, Word and Outlook
* Excellent communication skills
* A positive, collaborative and solutions-focused team player with a can-do attitude
* Organised, proactive and responsive with excellent attention to detail
Qualifications/Experience:
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role is essential
* Knowledge of construction products would be a huge advantage
