Site Manager\n\nCentral Birmingham\n\n£45,000 - £60,000 (dependent on experience) + Car / Allowance + Healthcare + Life Insurance + Bonus + Additional Holiday\n\n£5m New-Build apartment block in partnership with a local Housing Association\n\nAbout the Project\n\nWe are seeking an experienced and motivated Site Manager to oversee the construction of a £5 million apartment block in Birmingham. This project will deliver high-quality, affordable homes in partnership with a housing association, aiming to provide modern, sustainable housing for the local community. The scheme includes circa 40-50 units and will involve working closely with local government representatives, residents, and internal teams.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nTake full ownership of day-to-day site operations, ensuring delivery on time, to budget, and to quality standards.\n\nManage subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour on site, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant delivery.\n\nEnsure that all site activities are carried out in accordance with health, safety, and environmental legislation and company procedures.\n\nWork collaboratively with the project team, including Quantity Surveyors, Design Managers, and the wider construction team.\n\nLiaise regularly with representatives from the local authority and other stakeholders, maintaining strong working relationships and open communication.\n\nMonitor construction progress and produce regular site reports for internal and client use.\n\nManage site logistics including deliveries, access, and waste management.\n\nLead site-based meetings and briefings, ensuring all team members understand the project objectives, timelines, and expectations.\n\nRequirements\n\nEssential:\n\nProven experience as a Site Manager on residential construction projects, ideally including affordable or social housing.\n\nTrack record of delivering schemes of similar value (£3m-£10m).\n\nSMSTS, CSCS (Black or White card), and First Aid at Work certifications.\n\nStrong knowledge of building regulations, NHBC/LABC standards, and health and safety compliance.\n\nExcellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.\n\nAbility to effectively manage and coordinate multiple subcontractor packages simultaneously.\n\nCompetent in using digital site management tools (e.g.
