The Role The purpose of this role is to take the lead on Year-end Statutory reporting, VAT and tax matters, international and trading subsidiaries, manage and support the organisation’s investment portfolio, and contribute to the management accounting function with regards to Fixed Assets. The role involves producing accurate and insightful management reports, ensuring compliance with VAT regulations (including for international services and products), and collaborating with advisors to address complex VAT issues, such as partial exemption and international supply of services. The successful candidate will be used to working in a heavy excel environment and will oversee financial reporting requirements for both the group and international subsidiaries and branches, ensuring that these entities meet their financial obligations. This is a standalone position requiring strong technical and excel expertise, independence, and excellent business partnering skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The role also involves interpreting and relaying financial advice to non-financial stakeholders and providing guidance to ensure proper structures and processes are in place. Experience preparing and completing SORP/FRS 102 compliant statutory accounts. Experience of charity finance, VAT (partial exemption models, CGS, place of supply, threshold levels, VAT claims, VAT compliance) and trading entity corporation tax Experience liaising with professional services suppliers. Project team experience Experience of dealing with international entities.
