About Our Client
Our client a highly successful organisation in the Engineering & Manufacturing Industry are currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant based from the Reigate, Surrey office
Job Description
As the Financial Accountant based from the Reigate, Surrey office you will be responsible for
* Prepare monthly reports to the Managing Director and to the parent company.
* Ensure that the company complies with local recommendations and laws.
* Process tax reports and payments and VAT reporting to the Tax authorities
* Monthly and quarterly report to Group
* Intrastat and Extrastat reporting
* Create, review and reconcile fixed assets and depreciation
* Reconciliation of Accounts and Supplier & Customer, Accounts receivable with intercompany reconciliation with Sweden.
* Code and post supplier invoices with approval process
* Work continuously according to the monthly closing schedule and meet set deadlines
* Monthly bank reconciliation and contacts with company banks
* Responsible for contacts with company auditors and in creation and submission of annual report
* Monthly inventory reconciliation and stock/cycle count
* Contact with accountants, tax advisors.
* Monthly reconciliation and consolidation of time reporting
* Control, review and book expense reports
* Conduct analysis, including trend analysis, of the branch's performance including sales and financial, report to management and make recommendations for improvement
* Contact in all group accounting issues with Sweden
* Regularly communicate with colleagues and keep them updated on financial developments and trends.
* E-invoicing
* Implement new processes, streamline and develop.
* Account for currency differences.
The Successful Applicant
* Experience in a similar role
* Knowledge of statutory accounting, legal and tax requirements
* General to more advanced bookkeeping skills and knowledge about balance account reconciliations.
* Understanding and knowledge of chart of accounts and of the classification of accounts, debit and credit, and the workflow of AP, AR and bank ledger
* Sufficient years of accounting experience to demonstrate proven capability at the contribution level required.
* Knowledge of Tax
* Knowledge of import and export desirable but not essential
* Strong Excel skills and financial systems' experience
* Understanding of the audit process and ability to support in managing external providers
What's on Offer
£45,000 - £52,000
9.00-5.00 with one hour for lunch, 35 hour working week
