This is not a typical finance job in a typical FMCG company; as well as the basics, you will need to possess a unique blend of skills. We're looking for a finance & systems guru, someone passionate about business partnering and providing financial insights but is systems focused. As we see the world differently and do things differently, we are looking for someone to challenge the status quo and provide thought leadership to improve our decision making.
The role will be pivotal to driving forward the development agenda for our forecasting and trade spend management system (Anaplan), ensuring the financial integrity of the system and improving user experience. Explore and support with the build of financial insights and reporting tools.
The role will get commercial exposure providing insights and business partnering with the BENEFRANCE/DACH hubs.
Responsibilities:
* Business system owner for Anaplan and driving the development agenda for the system
* Maintain reconciliation between Anaplan and SAP to ensure the integrity of the data between the two systems. Manage interfaces between Anaplan and SAP.
* Managing relationship with external consultants (Bedford)
* Scope, explore and become an expert in business reporting tools and lead with implementation across EU
* Work closely with the sales and brand team to capture all trade spend and brand spend activities ensuring no surprises in Benefrance and DACH hubs
* Prepare and own EU trade spend report. Review trade spend and brand activities ensuring that we are getting adequate ROI for the spend (recommendation on how best the region should be spending the money)
* Relentlessly pursue opportunities to improve processes, improve forecast accuracy, assess risk, and establish urgency across the organization to maximize EBIT.
* Partner with wider LSB finance team in assessing monthly close results and sharing actuals and implications to the broader organisation.
Experience you'll bring:
* Experience in commercial finance/FP&A/systems, preferably with exposure to FMCG
* Ability to build powerful influencing relationships at all levels while also creating the energy and momentum for required change
* Excel whiz and analytical skills to identify root cause issues. SAP system and Anaplan experience a major plus
* Previous experience working in a Finance systems environment (preferred but not a requirement)
* You're a creative thinker with proven problem-solving skills with determination to resolve issues
* Qualified Accountant (Finalist/newly or 1-2 PQE) with a strong academic record and substantial finance experience gained in a variety of environments or practice.
* Your communications credentials are one of your biggest strengths.
* You're able to prioritise and juggle lots of tasks at the same time with relentless desire for high standards and high attention to detail.
