Role Overview:
As our Social Media Specialist, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and growing our brand’s social media presence across multiple platforms. This is a dual role that blends strategic planning with hands-on execution, focusing on driving awareness and engagement from our target audience, building a loyal community, and showcasing our brand’s unique voice.
Beyond content creation, you’ll craft an organic social strategy that aligns with broader business goals, educates and inspires our audiences, and drives measurable impact. You’ll work across our industries, using creativity and data to tell compelling stories and build strong connections with our audience.
What You’ll Be Doing:
1. Develop and execute an organic social media strategy that aligns with brand voice, business objectives, and audience needs;
2. Create, schedule, and publish a consistent flow of content across our channels, such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and LinkedIn;
3. Producing engaging visuals, short-form videos, and written content tailored for each platform;
4. Actively engage with followers by responding to comments and messages, fostering relationships within our online community, and managing and growing our Facebook group to create a vibrant space for conversation and connection;
5. Partner with other teams to develop organic social strategies that support lead generation, webinars, and other key marketing initiatives;
6. Develop platform-specific strategies, leveraging best practices and trends to maximise engagement and growth across each channel;
7. Own the social media content calendar, ensuring alignment with key business priorities and scheduling content for optimal performance;
8. Stay ahead of social media trends and emerging platforms, ensuring the brand remains relevant, innovative, and competitive;
9. Track and report on performance metrics such as engagement, reach, and follower growth, providing actionable insights to refine future strategies;
10. Create versatile content assets, including videos, graphics, and thumbnails, that can be repurposed for different platforms and campaigns while maintaining a cohesive brand aesthetic;
11. Collaborate with the marketing teams to align organic strategies with other marketing efforts and work with customer support to address community feedback and improve overall brand sentiment;
12. Share insights and learnings from social media efforts with other departments to support broader marketing strategies and enhance brand development.
Required Experience & Skills:
1. 3+ years of experience managing social media and community engagement, ideally within an e-commerce or multi-market environment;
2. Proven ability to create engaging, on-brand content across multiple platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn);
3. Strong understanding of platform-specific best practices;
4. Experience with community management, including responding to comments, engaging with groups, and building relationships;
5. Familiarity with social media tracking and analytics tools to inform data-driven decisions and optimise content;
6. Ability to analyse content performance metrics such as engagement rates, impressions, reach, and conversions, and adjust strategies accordingly;
7. Proven ability to maintain and adapt brand voice and tone across diverse platforms and audiences;
8. Excellent copywriting skills, crafting compelling copy for posts and responses;
9. Proficiency in social media management and design tools for content creation;
10. Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all published content;
11. Organisational skills to manage multiple projects, coordinate cross-functional teams, and oversee community feedback;
12. Experience adapting content strategies to resonate with audiences in different regions or markets, ensuring cultural relevance and sensitivity.
