Gain the practical skills required perform the role of a Maintenance Technician (either Electrical or Mechanical Bias). You will gain knowledge and experience by working alongside the Engineering Team while they undertake the maintenance and project schedules in the plant.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you’ll do at work
* You are required to follow company Health and Safety procedures to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
* Attend day release course as required.
* Keep up to date with all course work, work books and logs.
* Successfully pass all stages of NVQ / HNC to a minimum of a merit level.
* Continually check your progress against the training log book with your mentor.
* Shadow and support colleagues within the engineering team to develop practical skills.
* Develop good working relationships with members of the engineering team.
* Ensure that safety procedures are followed at all times for the safety of yourself and others.
* Accurate SAP reporting.
* Attend and participate in the daily maintenance morning meeting.
* Anything commensurate to complete your role.
