Rate of Pay: £12.59
Location: Belfast
Hours: 37 Mon-Fri 9am to 5pm
Duration: Until a permanent AO is available. Estimating 31/12/2024

Job Description:
The AO provides administrative assistance to the various operational enforcement teams within the section (Goods, Taxis and Bus Teams) in addition to the Compliance, Intelligence and Policy Sections.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Processing of prosecution files to the Public Prosecution Service including liaison with enforcement officers on the required paperwork, documents, witness statements, attendance at court (for enforcement officers) etc
2. Monitoring of prosecution files to ensure that they are progressed and forwarded to the PPS in accordance with statutory timescales;
3. Inputting statistical information (accurately) onto the Enforcement Database on a timely basis;
4. Answering phone calls and undertaking reception duties at the DVA Building at Corp Street;
5. Liaising with enforcement officers DVA colleagues etc (on a daily basis) including the provision of information (quickly & accurately) from various databases (in relation to industry drivers and operators and vehicles) to enforcement officers at the roadside following receipt of radio / telephone calls.
6. Completion of tasks identified by the premises team within admin operational support such as liaising with contractors on their arrival at the reception area, developing work requests, receipting and reconciliation of invoices etc.
Essential Criteria:
Must have 5 GCSEs including Maths & English – Certs required
