1. Role Overview
Chaotic is seeking an energetic and engaging Digital Engagement Host to be the face and voice of our online community, primarily focusing on our Facebook community, but including other social channels. This role will involve live streaming, audience interaction, and digital promotions to drive excitement and engagement around our competitions, special promotions, and brand initiatives.
As a Digital Compere, you will act as a real time host, supporting users across our social channels, bringing energy and enthusiasm to live broadcasts, and ensuring customers are informed and entertained. You will also work closely with our marketing team to align promotions and content strategies while reporting into the Head of Customer Service to ensure a high level of audience satisfaction.
2. Key Responsibilities
Live Streaming & Community Engagement:
* Host live streams across our social media platforms, mainly Facebook Live, using professional streaming software.
* Promote competitions, promo codes, and special events in an exciting, dynamic, and informative way.
* Encourage audience participation, interaction, and engagement during live sessions.
* Moderate comments, answer questions, and ensure a positive, inclusive, and fun online environment.
* Adapt tone and presentation style to align with different audiences and campaign goals.
Customer Support & Social Interaction:
* Act as a friendly and approachable point of contact for customers within the Chaotic social media community.
* Monitor and respond to queries in real time while live streaming, ensuring customers receive clear and professional responses.
* Work with the Customer Service team to escalate and resolve customer concerns in a timely manner.
* Identify community trends, concerns, and feedback, sharing insights with the relevant teams.
Marketing & Content Collaboration:
* Collaborate with the Marketing Team to plan and execute promotional campaigns, special events, and content strategies.
* Stay updated on all new promotions, offers, and competitions, ensuring accurate information is relayed to the community.
* Contribute ideas for engaging content that will drive customer interest and retention.
* Test and explore new streaming tools and techniques to improve audience engagement.
Scheduling & Reporting:
* Work on a flexible rota designed to match peak audience times (to be determined by analytics).
* Analyse engagement metrics from live streams and provide feedback on what works best.
* Provide weekly and monthly reports on community engagement, campaign effectiveness, and customer sentiment.
* Attend a monthly in office meeting for performance check ins and team collaboration.
3. Key Skills & Requirements
Essential:
* Confident, engaging, and charismatic personality – able to capture and maintain audience attention.
* Experience in live presenting, hosting, or digital streaming (e.g., gaming, social media influencing, teleshopping, radio/TV presenting).
* Excellent communication skills – able to explain promotions clearly and interact positively with a live audience.
* Good understanding of social media engagement techniques (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Live, etc.).
* Ability to work independently and be proactive in engaging the audience.
* Basic knowledge of streaming software and digital broadcasting tools (OBS, StreamYard, Restream, etc.).
* Customer focused mindset – ensuring that audience needs are met in a professional and friendly manner.
* Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with customer service and marketing teams.
* Flexible availability to accommodate peak community activity times.
Desirable:
* Previous experience in customer service, marketing, influencer marketing, or e-commerce promotions.
* Knowledge of competition based marketing and community driven engagement.
* Basic video editing skills for repurposing live streams into promotional content.
* An interest in the gaming, entertainment, or interactive competitions industry.
