The Control Assurance Team are at the heart of making sure our services are delivered right first time to our customers, advisers, and employers. Within this department is the Regulatory Controls Team, who provide oversight, assurance and support on the first line risk and control environment within Customer Care. As Regulatory Controls Manager you are accountable for providing oversight, assurance and support on the first line risk and control environment within Customer Care. You will manage a team and oversee their performance as well as managing resource and play a key role in maintaining quality standards. We’d love to hear from you if you have: Proven understanding of the regulatory environment and requirements to support Aegon’s business model and product range. Good understanding of FCA (including COBS, CASS and Sysc 8), HMRC, GDPR and Financial Crime regulations. Strong understanding of tPR in relation to Master Trust, GPPs and Pension Transfers Good understanding of operational risk methodology, for example, risk identification, assessment and mitigation methodology, regulatory risk appetite and risk tolerances. Necessary Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience within a financial services Risk function / first line Controls function. Minimum of 2 years’ experience of line management. It’d also be great if you’ve got: Ability to plan and prioritise own and team’s work and other resources when required to deliver regulatory risk plan. Excellent problem solving and research skills with ability to identify risks, analyse problems and assess complex regulations. Strategic thinking and the ability to simplify complex and conflicting tasks, making sure these are effectively managed and communicated. Ability to positively collaborate with Senior Management. Strong coaching and mentoring skills acting as a role model to your team. What’s in it for you?
