As the Head of Procurement, you will be responsible for driving value through innovative procurement strategies, building strong supplier relationships, and ensuring cost efficiency in alignment with the company’s goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership and Strategy:
* Lead the procurement function across the business, setting the strategy for sourcing, vendor management, and procurement operations. Work closely with the board and key stakeholders to ensure procurement strategies align with business objectives.
* Supplier Relationship Management:
* Develop and nurture long-term relationships with key suppliers to drive collaboration, performance, and value. Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms that align with the business’s goals.
* Cost Optimization and Efficiency:
* Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and operational efficiencies across the procurement lifecycle. Ensure that procurement activities contribute positively to the bottom line.
* Risk Management and Compliance:
* Ensure the procurement function complies with all legal, regulatory, and company policies. Proactively assess and mitigate risks associated with suppliers and contracts.
* Cross-functional Collaboration:
* Partner with internal teams including finance, operations, IT, and legal to ensure seamless execution of procurement processes. Provide guidance and support to other departments in relation to procurement best practices.
* Data and Reporting:
* Leverage data and analytics to track procurement performance, vendor performance, and financial savings. Provide regular updates to senior leadership, including the Private Equity backers, on procurement activities and outcomes.
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience in a senior procurement role, preferably within a Private Equity-backed business or fast-paced, high-growth professional services firm.
* Strong understanding of procurement strategies, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
* Experience in managing and driving cost-effective procurement processes across a diverse range of categories.
* Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and work with senior leadership.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.
* A strategic thinker with a focus on results and continuous improvement.
