Job Title: Senior Support Worker – Residential Home

Salary: £25,500 - £27,000 per year (plus additional pay for sleep-ins)
About the Role
As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care to children and young people in our residential home. You will lead by example, supporting your team to deliver the best possible care and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the children.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and mentor a team of support workers to deliver personalized care and support.
• Provide day-to-day care and support to children and young people in line with their individual care plans.
• Act as a role model, ensuring that all policies, procedures, and safeguarding protocols are adhered to.
• Assist with the development and implementation of care plans and risk assessments.
• Take on sleep-in shifts as required, providing support during overnight periods.
• Ensure a safe and supportive environment for both children and staff.
Requirements:
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
• Full UK Driving Licence (due to the nature of the role).
• Previous experience working within a residential care setting for children or young people.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
