Purchase Ledger Clerk
Exeter, Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £25,500
A dynamic company on the outskirts of Exeter is seeking a dedicated Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their finance team. As a Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will be an integral part of the finance department, reporting directly to the Financial Controller. This is a full-time position on a permanent basis with hybrid working available.
Job Summary:
As a Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the purchase ledger process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments. Your attention to detail and organisational skills will contribute to the smooth operation of financial transactions within the company.
Duties:
* Process and record invoices accurately into the system.
* Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.
* Prepare payment runs and ensure timely payments to suppliers.
* Assist in month-end procedures related to the purchase ledger.
* Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
Skills:
* Ideally previous experience in a similar purchase ledger role.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
* Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Nice-to-have:
* AAT qualification or working towards it.
* Experience with automated accounting systems.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
