We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mobile Application Engineer to develop and maintain the mobile app and supporting APIs for Hive Connected Homes. You will work across our full range of products, including Hive Active Heating, Lighting, EV Charging, Sensors & Plugs, and associated subscriptions and services.
Location: Predominantly home-based with occasional travel to Windsor.
Key Responsibilities:
* Enhance existing functionality and ensure high performance.
* Maintain the app, including dependency upgrades and modernization.
* Implement technical improvements and optimizations.
* Develop new features and fix bugs within target timeframes.
* Participate in code reviews and provide feedback.
Senior Responsibilities:
* Lead new projects and exploratory work.
* Promote test coverage, code quality, and best practices.
* Mentor junior team members.
Technical Capabilities:
* Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and React Native.
* Proficiency in unit testing and mobile UI testing frameworks.
* Familiarity with Redux/Redux-Saga/Redux Toolkit/RTKQuery.
* Experience with iOS/Android development and deployment.
* Familiarity with continuous integration tools (CircleCI, Travis, AWS CodeBuild).
* Knowledge of AWS Cognito, OAuth, and cloud providers like AWS.
