Job Title: Electrician (Testing and Inspection) Location: East Yorkshire Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 Job Description: Are you an experienced electrician looking to make your mark in the fast-growing renewables sector? This is an exciting opportunity to join an industry-leading company specialising in Solar PV and EV charging systems. While previous experience with Solar PV and EV infrastructure is desirable, this role is perfect for those eager to transition into renewables. As an Electrician, you will be responsible for Testing and inspecting solar PV systems and EV charging infrastructure, ensuring the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and compliance. Key Responsibilities: Testing and Inspection of solar PV systems and EV charging Diagnose and resolve faults on electrical systems to minimise downtime. Conduct electrical testing and inspections to BS 7671 (18th Edition) standards. Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and industry best practices. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and provide accurate reports to management. Assist in the commissioning of new installations and system upgrades. Collaborate with clients and contractors to ensure exceptional service delivery. Required Qualifications and Skills: 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Certificate (BS 7671). AM2 Qualification (Achievement Measurement 2). Gold Card (ECS/JIB Approved Electrician). 2391 Testing and Inspection or equivalent qualification. Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills. Willingness to learn and develop new skills within the renewables sector. Full UK driving licence (essential). Preferred Experience: Previous experience with Solar PV systems or EV charging infrastructure (desirable but not essential). Familiarity with SCADA systems and remote monitoring tools.
