Main duties of the job
As part of a strategic move, we are expanding our first-line IT service desk team and adding a supervisor post. This role is perfect for someone looking to grow as a team lead and you will have the full support of experienced managers for training and guidance. The candidate we're looking for has a generalist approach to IT; you're not afraid to troubleshoot issues in web applications, desktop applications, laptops, desktops, printers, you name it. Comfortable taking phone calls and speaking to service users, you will be a key part of the IT service desk team, whilst also making sure the rotas are planned and new systems are understood.

* Degree or equivalent experience in application support

* Ability to explain IT issues to non-IT staff and extract relevant information from them to help diagnose IT problems
* Previous experience of working on a large project
* Evidence of supporting users through change
* Relevant experience of database master table administration/maintenance
* Proven system testing experience
* Good knowledge and understanding of Data Protection issues.
* Writing IT technical knowledge in simple plain English
Desirable
* Previous or relevant experience of working within a Healthcare environment
* Basic knowledge of SQL
* Application Testing
* Basic knowledge of HTML or web-based design programs
