* Assistant Service Manager
* Location: Kingston upon Thames
* Salary: £27,154 per annum
* Hours: 39 hours per week including 15 hours admin time. Shifts include 7am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, mid shifts, sleep ins and waking night 9:30pm-7am.
We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Assistant Service Manager to join the teams in Kingston. Coombe Oak, which is based in Kingston, is split across several houses. We are recruiting to oversee House 4, in this service we are supporting adults with mild to severe learning disabilities and some health conditions.
What will you be doing?
* Take ownership for continuing professional development for self and the team.
* Work with your Service Manager to use management information to make sound business decisions to encourage a solutions-led culture.
* Maintain a practical knowledge of policies and procedures and ensure appropriate usage.
* Act as the Service Manager in their absence.
* Conduct staff supervisions as well as booking and managing staff training and development.
* Manage the rota.
* Conduct weekly and monthly finance and medication audits.
* Order, store, and dispose of medication appropriately.
* Motivate and inspire your team to provide outstanding support through effective training, coaching, and leadership by example.
* Provide day-to-day support for the people we are supporting, including personal care and community activities.
* Engage in activities such as cooking, baking, arts & crafts, gardening, meals out, communal parties, swimming, and visiting local shops, cafes, and restaurants.
About YOU!
* Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and mental health needs.
* Experience in supervising/managing a small to medium team within social care or willingness to be trained (including supervisions, probations, inductions).
* Experience in providing Person-Centred support and a passion for it.
* Ability to support people with personal care.
* Ability to manage own time and work under pressure.
* Flexibility to work required shifts.
* Full manual driver's license is highly desirable.
