Role Overview
The Marketing and Social Media Executive for Somek and Associates will be required to work with the Marketing Lead to support the business in achieving the marketing goals of communicating the business as a brand leader to new and existing clients and associates, primarily through the growth of our social media platforms. The post holder will have responsibility for managing the business' social media accounts, creating relevant and engaging content for prospective and existing expert witnesses, clients, and HQ staff.
It is a full time (37.5 hours a week) position based in Somek offices in Chesham, Bucks.
The Successful Applicant Will Need The Following
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Knowledge of audience personas and the different demographics, interests and ways of interacting with various social media platforms.
* Knowledge and experience of Canva (essential), Mailchimp and Google Analytics is desirable but not essential.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* To be reliable and trustworthy.
* To be proactive, creative, generate ideas and have a keen eye for detail.
* To be able to use own initiative, whilst also working as part of a small team.
Main Responsibilities
* Working alongside the Marketing Lead to deliver the marketing strategy for the business, including delivering key messages, creating new campaigns and monitoring activity.
* Content creation – Creating relevant social media posts for the Company’s social media pages including LinkedIn, Facebook and X.
* Assisting with development of content for other marketing channels e.g. our website and marketing email campaigns via Mailchimp. Ensuring the content is engaging and to a high standard and the tone aligns appropriately with our audiences and garners a positive reception.
* Managing the social media calendar to schedule posts, ensuring the content is planned and distributed via the right channel, at the right time.
* Responsible for engaging with visitors and responding appropriately to comments/reactions to increase community engagement and brand awareness and create a strong digital presence for the business.
* Responsible for maintaining the Mailchimp account and subscriber list.
* Analyse web browser and social media analytics and measure success by tracking metrics, gaining relevant insight on each platform including tracking and engagement of new followers, audience demographic and information and successes to help inform the marketing strategy and future campaigns.
* Conducting research on our competitors and contributing to the monthly marketing report submitted by the Marketing Lead to Senior Management.
* Creating other pages for online engagement such as BlueSky & Instagram pages.
* Staying up to date with developments in marketing and social media, including legal changes, new platforms or practices that may be relevant or new features.
