The Role of finance assistant We’re looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and self-motivated team player with experience of working in a fast-paced environment to join our Finance team. In the role of a Finance Assistant, you’ll be responsible for maintaining a high level of accuracy in our financial reporting that will enable various stakeholders around the business to assess financial and operational performance, and also enable them to make informed decisions which will determine the future success of the company. Key accountabilities as our finance assistant Support in the production of timely and accurate monthly management accounts, including journal preparation and posting to areas such as: stock, WIP, accruals, prepayments, provisions and accrued and deferred income Support in the completion of the monthly billing run, including daily, weekly and monthly importing of data into the billing system, ensuring a high level of accuracy and efficiency Support in the preparation of our monthly ESG reporting analysis, ensuring accurate reporting is submitted to Group on a timely basis Prepare monthly analysis reports on departmental and credit card spend, ensuring accurate reporting of data in a user friendly manner that allows non-financial stakeholders to understand clearly Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations Perform monthly reconciliations of all key supplier invoices to ensure revenue completeness and input cost assurance is maintained to a high standard Support in the group reporting process, including the calculation and submission of IFRS 3, IFRS 15 and IFRS 16 adjustments on a monthly basis Support in the preparation of monthly KPI reporting to gain understanding of the key drivers of financial and non-financial performance of the business Support the Finance Manager in providing audit information to external auditors during the external audit process Support the Finance Manager in preparing and submitting the annual P11D assessments Support in completing ad-hoc data analysis tasks and information requests Focus on continued improvement of the Finance function and all associated processed and controls What are we looking for in return? A highly driven, part-qualified accountant with strong analytical and methodical skills who knows what good looks like.
