The key responsibilities of the role include:
* Defines and manages multiple phases of major projects for a business area. Determines resource needs, recommends test strategies, and develops cost benefit analysis. Manages and implements projects. Oversees all project activities and provides status reports.
* Interacts with technology, product management, and operations to formulate and implement solutions to enhance existing services, create new client deliverables, or improve processes.
* Identifies impact of changes and processes on staff; analyses the change, facilitates acceptance of change through training and communication. Provides ongoing support for the solution.
* Reviews documents, existing procedures, and processes and recommends where automation or improved processes can be implemented. Designs/develops new procedures when appropriate.
* Prepares detailed system specifications for proposed automated processes and systems enhancements.
* Sets and maintains project schedules, monitors progress toward completion of project and adjusts schedule or tasks as needed.
* Evaluates the quality and effectiveness of new processes, systems and/or modifications to existing solutions. Coordinates testing of new systems and systems modifications.
* Determines vendor requirements, reviews and compares vendor services and products, and makes recommendations to management.
* Leads others to solve complex problems.
* Uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgement and identify innovative solutions.
The successful candidate will benefit from having:
* Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in own job discipline or field
* Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes, or services
* Communicates difficult concepts and negotiates with others to adopt a different point of view
* An understanding of regulators' requirements and expectations regarding data needs for risk related data and the reporting of risk data
* An understand of risk management frameworks
* May lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity
