Due to internal promotion, an exciting opportunity for an experienced Ophthalmology Nurse, with substantial experience and also with an interest in Medical Retina, to join our Ophthalmic Nurse Practitioner team at Southlands.

Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Ophthalmology Nurse, with substantial experience and also with an interest in Medical Retina, to join our Ophthalmic Nurse Practitioner(ONP)team at Southlands.

You will not only be expected to train and work as part of our Non-Medical Injector team for the treatment of Medical Retina issues, you will also be expected to work across the following
Ophthalmology Outpatient Clinic, Ophthalmology Pre-Op assessment and Ophthalmology Day Surgery as well as other areas of the department that are required, from time to time.

Experience
Essential criteria
1. Substantial Ophthalmology Experience
Desirable criteria
2. Ophthalmic Qualification
Knowledge
Essential criteria
3. Knowledge of Medical retina and the services included
Desirable criteria
4. worked within a MR service in an Large Trust
Skills
Essential criteria
5. Is able to perform subcutaneous and IM injections independently
Desirable criteria
6. Trained Non-Medical Injector
