Summary
A successful planning and environmental consultancy specialising in land and building projects within housing, renewables, community and recreation is looking to hire a talented Planning Consultant who enjoys taking responsibility and leading projects.
Working within a multidisciplinary team, the role will require an excellent eye for detail in reviewing and approving submissions of EIA and non-EIA planning applications.
They are seeking an individual who can prepare quotations/proposals, manage subcontractors and deliver projects for our clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical, report-writing and project management skills, and have a proven ability to run and contribute to medium to large-scale complex projects whilst producing high-quality results.
Skillset And Qualifications
- A relevant degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning, or similar.
- 5+ years professional experience.
- Experience of preparing and editing documents for submission to planning authorities.
- Project delivery, office and site experience.
- Proven experience of working on projects at all development stages, the capability to run complex projects and delivery of high-quality results.
- Experience of the UK planning systems.
- Experience of working in an interdisciplinary environment.
- Ability to write clear, concise and professional reports.
- Strong IT skills, with experience of using all MS office applications.
- Excellent communication skills and English language skills.
- Full, clean driving licence.
Desirable
- Chartered member status of the Royal Town Planning Institute (or working towards).
- Experience with renewable energy projects.
