Access Support Worker role for Joanne Roughton-Arnold - a lyric coloratura soprano and the CEO and Creative Director of formidAbility, the UK's only majority disability-led opera company.
Job Description
We are looking for an Access Support Worker to work alongside Joanne's existing Access Support Worker.
Job Requirements
The role includes:
* Support at meetings (online and in person) including project development meetings, site visits, and meetings about future work
* Social media support
* Digital marketing support
* Website updating support
* Support with preparation of documents, spreadsheets and especially website forms that are inaccessible
The role may also involve:
* Support with creating and maintaining budgets
* Support with Board meetings
* Project management and arts producing work for future projects
Job Responsibilities
The Person
We are looking for someone with:
* Experience of working in the arts
* An interest in arts-based social change
* Experience in working with people with visual impairments
* Knowledge of the opera sector and ability to network effectively in this sector
* Experience of social media and digital marketing
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
Preferred:
We hope you will have:
* Experience of access support work
* Experience of working with Access to Work
* Experience in arts project management / producing / stage management or other associated field
* Experience of working in theatre settings
* Experience in working with Deaf and disabled people
* Experience of working with Arts Council England funding - fundraising and/or project delivery
* A driver's licence and access to a vehicle for work use
