We are seeking a dedicated Kit Cutter and Digitiser Technician to join our team working on a weekend shift. In this role you will play a pivotal role in the production and preparation of laminating kits and inserts for our Composite production departments. This is an exciting role in a fast-paced environment, and you will work closely with our composite production areas, ply-book and logistics teams, to ensure kits and inserts are processed in compliance with production processes and quality procedures.
As a Kit Cutter and Digitiser Technician, your key responsibilities will be:
* Perform insert etch processing to prepare components for use in composite manufacturing.
* Operate chemical etching and vapour blast equipment.
* Operate Zund cutting table and SigmaNest.
* Reverse engineer laminators' templates using Sigma-NEST digitising software.
* Process and optimise Fibersim 2D DXFS files.
* Book in/out materials using inventory software packages.
* Process supporting manufacturing documentation.
* Maintain batch, out-life, and shelf-life records aligned to FIFO inventory best practices.
* Ensure accurate stock control and traceability of all material movements.
* Maintain department/freezer housekeeping and organisation aligned to 5S principles.
* Perform daily maintenance and checks of key department equipment.
We are looking for a Kit Cutter and Digitiser Technician with the following experience and skills:
* Experience within a similar environment is desirable.
* GCSE/A levels.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Proficient in using PC and related software.
* Skilled in interpreting engineering and plybook drawings.
* Exceptional attention to detail.
* Effective team player with strong collaboration skills.
* Highly adaptable and able to thrive in dynamic environments.
Please note this role is working on a weekend shift.
07.30 to 18.30 either on a Friday to Sunday or Saturday to Monday TBC
