Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for an experiencedElectronics Harness Technicianto join us here at Williams Racing. In this role you’ll play a key role in manufacturing electrical harnesses and assemblies that support our high-performance operations. Your work will ensure that our cutting-edge electronics meet the exacting standards of the F1 industry, driving both innovation and precision.
As anElectronics Harness Technician, your key responsibilities will be:
• Build LV/HV assemblies and enclosures for cutting-edge electronics.
• Conduct end-of-line harness tests including continuity, isolation, and resistive tests.
• Assemble complex electrical wiring harnesses following Raychem System 25 standards.
• Maintain and service WilliamsF1 and customer electronics to ensure reliability and safety.
• Evaluate and report on components during assembly and disassembly for faults.
• Operate pass-off and test rigs, conducting environmental process testing as needed.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in collaboration with the Engineering team.
• Ensure all assembly and component data is recorded and maintained within relevant systems.
We are looking for anElectronics Harness Technicianwith the following skills and experience:
• Recognised apprenticeship or time-served in F1, aerospace, or military industries.
• IPC-A-620 certification is preferred.
• Experience with Raychem System 25 standards and testing is advantageous.
• Expertise in harness manufacture, testing, and understanding of technical drawings.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Solid IT and database skills.
• Attention to detail and high-quality standards in all tasks.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism and conduct, both individually and as part of the team.
• Strive to achieve excellence in quality and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Understand and comply with cost cap rules to drive efficiency.
