Competitive starting salary range from £44,965 up to £51,314 per annum (dependent upon experience) with the potential to progress. A discretionary range for candidates with exceptional experience can be discussed/considered.

The Role
As Assistant Professor (Teaching) in Adult Nursing you will undertake teaching and course coordination while supporting the development and delivery of undergraduate, professional programs and other core activities ensuring students have an effective learning experience. You will also lead on aspects of the student learning experience including the leadership of staff teams.
Based on campus within the School of Health and Care, you will work with and lead other academic colleagues to enrich the student learning and teaching experience to ensure, as appropriate, relevant aspects of research, enterprise and professional context are embedded in modules and courses.
Duties include:
* Course coordination as appropriate to the role.
* Leading the curation, adaptation, design and development of module and course teaching materials and contributing to ongoing Curriculum Development.
* Teaching on modules and courses at HE levels 4-7, and leading teams of teaching staff.
* Leading moderation and quality assurance of appropriate module assessment.
* Line management.
Qualifications Required
* Active and Live NMC Registration in Adult Nursing.
* Master’s degree in an appropriate subject.
* A teaching qualification or extensive experience of delivering professional and/or university education.
* PhD or active membership of an appropriate professional body would be advantageous.

You will have demonstrable experience of successful teaching at higher education levels 4-7 in Adult Nursing with the development and demonstration of best practice in teaching, learning and assessment consistent with our reputation and track record as a high-quality provider of teaching and learning.
An experienced team leader with a good level of digital fluency, you will have experience creating teaching materials for face-to-face and online teaching using a VLE.
Enthusiastic and self-motivated, you will have experience in the development and enhancement of an ‘active learning’ pedagogy as appropriate to the academic subject area.
