Job summary Are you an experienced Paediatric Physiotherapist who wants to develop their clinical and leadership skills? We are a dynamic, friendly team looking for like-minded applicants to join us. Our service provides assessment and intervention for children and young people with physical difficulties, aged 0-19 years. We work in partnership with families and carers in a variety of settings including special and mainstream schools, patient's homes, and community clinics. You will be expected to use and develop your skills using a variety of approaches and treatment modalities and to work closely with colleagues in other disciplines in order to provide a child-centred, holistic approach to care. You will also participate in the development of other staff and of the service. The Paediatric Physiotherapy Service provides clinical placements for students from Keele University and the post holder will be supported to become a clinical educator. Main duties of the job You will undertake a physiotherapy role for assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment programmes for children in the most appropriate location in the community. The position is expected to be based in and around our south East and South West Staffordshire locations, though the exact location will be determined by the successful applicant Bases in the location include: Stafford, Cannock, Codsall, Burton, Lichfield, Tamworth, Rugeley Be competent as appropriate to the requirements of the role. Be responsible for a defined population of service users aged 0-19 years in a variety of settings, including the child's home, schools, and clinics across the Partnership Trust. Have supervisory responsibilities where appropriate and participate in service development and improvement. Demonstrate initiative and be creative in finding solutions to problems.
