Job Description
Our client, a leading international academic publishing company is currently looking for a research integrity assistant to work closely with their Publishing Ethics & Integrity team across a variety of STM journals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Work closely with the team to drive research integrity investigations.
2. Check articles for integrity of authorship, content, data, and key ethics statements.
3. Assist the ethics team with contacting authors and assessing files requested from authors.
4. Where required, assist in identifying experts to provide advice on specific articles.
5. Work with the ethics team and editorial teams on organizing post-publication notices.
6. Handle confidential information confidently and sensitively, with consideration for the legal and ethical issues that may arise from any mishandling.
Qualifications:
1. Research background in a relevant discipline.
2. Editorial experience in assessing scientific manuscripts for quality and integrity of content.
3. Strong understanding of various research methods and practices.
4. Awareness of global research and publishing ethics issues.
5. Awareness of required journal editorial standards.
6. Experience in project management.
7. Strong numerical and verbal reasoning skills.
