The IT Security UK & CE team are responsible for the implementation, maintenance and improvement of the CIB Corporate Security programme in the UK and CE geographies. As part of the fast-growing CIB Engineering UK & CE Team, we work closely and cross-functionally with our colleagues to deliver exceptional value to the business.
What are we looking for?
We are seeking a skilled IT Information Security Specialist to join our team. The primary focus of this role is to safeguard the organisation's digital assets and sensitive information in collaboration with our colleagues in Madrid and Red Exterior. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and maintaining security measures to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other cyber threats.
Key Responsibilities
Data Security and Protection
1. Design, implement, and maintain security protocols to safeguard sensitive data, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g. GDPR, DORA).
2. Conduct regular risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and audits of IT systems and data storage environments.
3. Develop strategies to secure databases, networks, endpoints, and cloud platforms.
4. Monitor and manage data access policies to ensure minimal exposure to risk.
5. Implement and manage encryption standards for data in transit and at rest.
6. Ensure the correct operation of the full data security lifecycle from creation to destruction.
7. Respond promptly to security incidents, breaches, and other vulnerabilities.
Policy Development and Compliance
1. Draft and enforce security policies, procedures, and guidelines to protect organizational data assets.
2. Stay updated on emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and compliance requirements.
3. Work with auditors and compliance teams to ensure regulatory and legal compliance.
Training and Awareness
1. Deliver employee training programs as required to promote data protection awareness and a culture of vigilance.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in a STEM subject.
2. English - Level B2.
3. Spanish - Nice to have.
4. Excellent communication skills, team player, commitment to continuous learning.
5. Experience: 2 to 3 years in a similar role.
