Overall Objectives: Assist the Quantity Surveyor in all relevant commercial and contractual activities associated with schemes and projects. Key Accountabilities: Assist with contract administration of sub-contracts Help ensure the timely and accurate assessment and payment of sub-contractor’s applications and issue payment notifications to sub-contractors Support the preparation of interim valuations and final accounts Provide measurement of quantities both on site and from drawings, where required Timely and accurate evaluation of variations/provisional sum expenditure and monitoring of the same Civils Monitor weekly direct labour & plant subcontractor payments Assist with cost management Assist with internal valuations, sub-contract liabilities and cost value reconciliations Work closely with Site Managers to monitor progress and its effect on margin and program Ensure good quality, accurate records are submitted and maintained on shared drive and Viewpoint Delay identification/notification/ in tandem with Quantity Surveying line manager Provide support and guidance to Trainee Quantity Surveyor as required Build relationships with supply chain, colleagues, client & design team Act as part of a team to deliver activities that support operational objectives It is not possible for this document to totally encompass or define all tasks that may be required of the post holder.
