Job Description A full-time, permanent vacancy for Housing Options and Homeless Team Leader has become available within West Dunbartonshire Council’s Housing Options and Homeless Service. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of a high standard housing options and homeless casework service in line with legislation, guidance and performance timescales. Providing strong leadership, supervision and support to the casework team, the postholder will work collaboratively with colleagues across the service to positively embrace change and continuous improvement and collectively meet changing demands on the service. Excellent communication and partnership working is required across a very wide range of internal and external partners, representing the service and ensuring that necessary information sharing, protocols and partnership working arrangements are effective. You should have an appropriate housing degree or equivalent professional qualification to apply for this post, excellent knowledge of homeless legislation and experience working within and delivery of statutory homeless services. With good experience in a managerial or supervisory role you should be able to demonstrate skills to direct, co-ordinate and develop a staff team. The post holder will also be required to contribute to the delivery of senior standby which includes provision of cover on a rota basis out of hours.
