We operate a bilingual policy. All applicants are invited to apply in Welsh; any application submitted in Welsh will not be treated less favourably than an application made in English.
We are investing in our Commissioning Service, particularly focused around Children’s placements and are looking to recruit two Commissioning Officers to join our team.
On a day-to-day basis, you will provide commissioning and brokerage advice in relation to internally and externally provided social care services on behalf of Ceredigion County Council, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including providers, Health Board, and care management teams.
You will also provide an effective and efficient brokerage service and arrange the delivery of external provider services in a cost-effective manner that meets the specified requirements and assessed needs.
We are looking to recruit an individual:
* with a commitment to the delivery of quality service provision through contractual arrangements to ensure best value
* with an ability to prioritise personal workload
* with an ability to learn new areas of knowledge quickly and maintain effective record/reporting systems
We welcome applications from non-Welsh speakers. All successful applicants requiring support to learn/improve their Welsh language skills will be offered funded lessons during work time to help reach the desired standard.
Our offer to you
We are committed to developing our people and will not only provide support to enable you to quickly and confidently take ownership of this role’s key areas of responsibility but, in addition, we are committed to supporting your development in order that you can progress your career with us.
In exchange for your skills and commitment, we will offer you a range of employee benefits including flexible working, competitive annual leave allowance, pension scheme with 14.6% employer contribution, enhanced family benefits, lifestyle savings, and employee health and wellbeing packages. More information about our wide-ranging employee benefits can be found here.
We believe work-life balance is very important. To support you in achieving this, you will have access to the following discretionary benefits:
* Hybrid Working: Subject to certain conditions being met, you may choose to work from home or in an office location.
* Flexi-time: Hours may be worked within a defined bandwidth, Monday to Friday, subject to service needs.
