Community Improvement Team Leader
Job description
We are currently looking for a Community Improvement Team Leader to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for – carrying out works and lead individual teams of operatives as designated by supervising officer.
The main duties of the post include:-
The co-ordination of the daily work tasks for designated teams of to operatives
- Act up for Supervisor as required during their absence for which an enhanced payment will be made.
- Minor pothole filling and highway repairs.
- Laying bitumen materials
- Use of small mechanical plant, e.g., breakers, disc cutters wacker plates
You will have experience in/of;
-The undertaking of highway defect repairs
- Successfully working as part of a team
- A good understanding of Health & Safety requirements
- A good understanding of relevant plant & machinery
Ideally you will have;
- Previous supervisory experience
There are no formal qualifications required for this role, as full training will be provided.

The section is responsible for undertaking repairs to a total adopted carriageway length of 858km and a footway network which totals around 999km
