To provide an efficient reception and clerical support service to visitors, patients and staff attending The Northumbria including ward clerk cover for the SCBU. To provide cover for other band 2 clerical jobs as required across the Business Unit. To provide a reception service, acting as first point of contact on the telephone or face to face for patients, visitors and other healthcare professionals. To facilitate good communication with other wards and departments involved in patient care or ward/departmental functioning.To input data regarding all admissions, transfers and discharges onto the PatientAdministration System. To assist in the general efficient running or sub-specialty offices including typing/G2 transcription, filing, retrieval and storage of patient records, handling post and dealing with telephone enquiries.To provide support to admin manager re PAS reports and other delegated duties.
