We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Clinical/Counselling Psychologist who is seeking career progression and a varied clinical role in our highly valued Older People’s Psychological Services team in Mid Essex.
Newly qualified clinical/counselling psychologists or those who will be qualifying and achieving HCPC status soon are invited to apply under a preceptorship arrangement.
This post will be based with our Maldon multi-disciplinary team, consisting of a memory assessment service and a community mental health team, where psychology is well-established and highly valued.
Main duties of the job
You will provide direct psychological assessment and interventions for older people with complex mental health difficulties and adults with dementia (and their families and wider systems) across inpatient and community settings.
Person specification
Qualifications
* DClinPsy or equivalent
* CPD training relevant to Older Adult mental healthcare
Knowledge and Experience
* Experience of supervising more junior colleagues
* Post qualification work with Older Adult populations or with in-patients
