We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Social Worker to work as our Quality Assurance and Safeguarding Manager for two of our Fostering Agencies; Fosterplus and Clifford House Fostering The Quality Assurance and Safeguarding Manager will be responsible for Quality Assurance and Safeguarding and will be accountable for work undertaken which will be in accordance with the relevant legislative and regulatory framework and Fosterplus and Clifford House Fostering Policy and Procedures. This role will include coordinating and leading on tasks relative to QA and Safeguarding work. As the Quality Assurance and Safeguarding Manager, the post holder will act as Panel Advisor on the joint fostering panels and be involved in pre-inspection planning and panel business. Fundamentally, the post holder will be required to undertake tasks on all activities within the context of Quality Assurance which will lead to each registration achieving 'outstanding' practices across Fosterplus and Clifford House Fostering and ensuring that children are safeguarded. Requirements Hold a Social Work England recognised qualification in Social Work or equivalent Previous experience of children and families' social work A comprehensive working knowledge of all relevant legislation pertaining to children's services as well as publications Proven experience of successfully delivering a Quality service to children in care Good IT skills Experience of panel work Experience of writing and delivering training Excellent communication skills Able to be flexible as to working pattern and travel Responsibilities Engage in an audit program of children's cases, carers files and panel (from recruitment to post approval of carers and panel members) Ensure that safeguarding practices are audited, monitored and reviewed Undertake the role of Panel Advisor for the joint Panels Provide leadership, guidance and advice to colleagues Implement and comply with all relevant legislation Where required undertake safeguarding investigations Participate in the Managers out of hours rota The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS Check, cost of which will be met by Polaris.
