We are the Information Intelligence Group (IIG) of CACI UK, a specialist software consultancy providing new bespoke solutions to solve our customers' complex operational problems. The Defence area forms one of our four Business Streams within IIG. With new projects set to commence in 2025, we are looking to appoint an experienced Business Analyst to join the team.
The Role:
As part of our growth strategy, we are looking to build on our existing presence in the MoD and related organisations. You will work with Senior Analysts and other subject matter professionals in gathering, validating, and documenting various system information and needs. Working across a number of interesting and varied software development projects, you will play a senior role on projects, conducting in-depth evaluation and verification of the capabilities of systems, serving as a point of contact between the end-users and software developers, to ensure that product information is properly disseminated. Responsibilities will include:
* Building relationships with clients to understand their business challenges and how we can help to deliver a solution to solve these issues.
* Prioritising key objectives to understand the importance of features and advise customers where appropriate.
* Ensuring customers are aware of how to use our applications – this may be through webinars, face-to-face training, creation of YouTube content or updating online help materials.
* Understanding elements of Software Engineering and AGILE methodology to translate those objectives into clear technical requirements with the support of the Engineering team.
* Guiding the customer in implementing changes.
* Identifying where problems are best solved by technology or process changes.
* Supporting the development of new products for the customer.
Due to the nature of the work, this role will be based 5 days per week from the customer site.
The Fit:
Our Business Analysts have the opportunity to work on a variety of interesting and challenging projects, so we want our team to have a proactive and can-do attitude to their work. We are passionate about technology and pride ourselves on keeping up with emerging technologies and delivery best practices, so it is important that you enjoy learning and continuous improvement. For our current requirement, we are looking for someone with:
* Previous experience as a Business Analyst, specifically working with the MOD.
* Experience across all stages of the project lifecycle from initial scoping through to project closure.
* Experience working in agile environments using methodologies such as SAFe, Scrum, and Kanban.
Due to the industries we work in, we require the successful candidate to be able to obtain high-level security clearance. To qualify for this, you must be a British citizen and have lived permanently in the UK for the last 5 years.
Why work for us?
The Business Analyst role is an excellent opportunity, and CACI rewards their staff well with a competitive salary and impressive benefits package which includes:
