Role Purpose: To lead a team of engineers on shift, ensure the planned preventative service schedule is allocated and completed. Deal with day-to-day breakdowns of the Logistics System and escalate to the relevant engineer to be resolved. Build customer relationships through good levels of communication, ensuring customer expectations are met in line with contractual obligations. Champion Health, Safety & Environmental standards of both Jungheinrich and the customer's site, ensuring at all times an approach of safety first is adopted. To provide technical support for your team of engineers. Liaise with and oversee all Jungheinrich subcontractors when on site to ensure their work is completed as per the subcontractor’s method statements and risk assessments. Deal promptly with customers’ enquiries, complaints, or problems and escalate as required. To provide on-going technical support for your team of engineers To assist in the development of engineers on site to create a ‘best practice’ working environment. Working closely with key stakeholders, including but not limited to LS technical specialists, technical services, VK-PS and service management, to ensure a safe and competent ability to support the required logistics system. Role Responsibilities: Ensure optimal team motivation and wellbeing of the team needed to achieve defined target performances. Undertaking maintenance and inspections in-line with the manufacturers O&M manuals Undertaking repairs in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations and industry standard practices Prioritising system faults and provide on-site assistance to engineers and ensuring these are successfully brought to a close. Troubleshooting and performing diagnostics, partly in collaboration with internal and external suppliers Completing and safely storing parameter backups Testing of safety equipment (if qualified) Providing first-level support Ensuring that all work undertaken is recorded accurately by all engineers. Working in close cooperation with the CS Training Manager, Technical Specialists and local engineering teams. Identifying the training requirements of the local engineering team. Responsible for identifying site-specific common best practices and ensuring they are cascaded and implemented throughout the local engineering team. Providing up-to-date technical support for the team Using the available systems data to identify gaps in reliability/availability of site systems. Responsible for identifying equipment reliability and areas that can be improved. Complying with Health & Safety legislation at all times Accurately recording all work undertaken Representing the company in a professional manner at all times and maintain customer relations. Adhering to the quality processes and procedures as set out by the company. Communicate effectively with Line Managers Assisting in the selection of tools, tools lists, diagnostic tools or specialist tools In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the job holder may be required to perform other duties assigned by the Area Service Manager such as call out and working outside of normal working hours (please note that this list is not exhaustive) Person Specification: Proven background in the implementation or support of automated / semi-automated intra logistic systems Strong Background in Engineering A working understanding of Mechanical, Electrical & Electronic technical manuals & drawings A knowledge of PLC equipment & related software Full understanding of pre-preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules & procedures Excellent PC literacy Excellent communication skills Health and Safety experience Physically fit and ability to work at height.
