Responsibilities:
We are seeking a skilled Product Planner to join our team. You will be part of a small team with overall responsibility for material forecasting, ordering, scheduling and associated supply chain activities across a range of products to ensure product availability to our end customers.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
1. Maintenance of supply of mainly finished goods inventory within the parameters of the stocking policy per category, to ensure uninterrupted fulfilment;
2. Monitoring of sales, assess demand trends to anticipate requirements and set run rates for supply;
3. Raise purchase orders against internal and external suppliers, in line with supplier purchasing rules and demand planning policies;
4. Action Open purchase orders activities like pricing, date management and expedites and de-expedites with UK and International vendors;
5. Action outcomes of exceptional events in the chain like promotions, unplanned sales and quality assurance;
6. Review, monitor and amend Master data settings for quantities, lead time, MOQs, status codes;
7. Monitor SKU performance and ensure kept within targeted guidelines (Availability, Value and Stock Turn);
8. Life cycle monitoring and maintenance, working closely with Category Product Managers, including NPI, Versions changes/Revisions and End of Life management;
9. Supplier performance monitoring, review and reporting;
10. Resolution and negotiation of commercial issues associated with Vendors.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Intermediate/advanced Excel and Microsoft applications;
2. High level of mathematical proficiency and analytical skills;
3. Hands on, dynamic professional with great attention to detail;
4. Prioritisation, multi-tasking and ability to work effectively under pressure;
5. Ability to work to deadlines and take ownership of allocated portfolio;
6. Solutions and Results driven, keen requirement for continuous improvement;
7. Excellent communication skills (regular verbal & written);
8. Exposure to MRP/ERP systems, international supply chains, customer services.
Education: Preferably Degree educated / CIPS / or related equivalent.
