As a Fullstack Engineer, you’ll create great products by interpreting and following best practice architectural and engineering principles, operating frameworks, and new and improved tech applications and solutions. About the Role Design and develop high-performance, user-friendly web frontends using React.js, Redux, Redux-Saga, and TypeScript that are supported by large-scale high performance services built in Golang and Node.js Contribute to the product's technical roadmap, incorporating cloud and container technologies like Kubernetes across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform. Lead the design and support of services and internal frameworks to enhance Sainsbury's Group's capabilities. Engage in engineering activities across the entire product lifecycle, including decommissioning, focusing on cost and service support implications. Responsible for designing and developing large-scale services using Golang, Javascript. Node.js, Next.js, React, and TypeScript. This includes websites, microservices, and event-driven architecture. Work with cloud and container technologies such as Kubernetes on AWS. Lead the design and support of services and internal frameworks that enhance Sainsbury's capabilities. Guide, support, and enable team performance by providing technical knowledge and innovative ideas. What You Need to Know Extensive experience in backend development with a proven track record of developing complex services for web applications. Expertise in the programming languages within our ecosystem such as Golang, Javascript and Node.Js. Knowledge of front end languages such as Next.js, React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, SASS/SCSS, React Testing Libraries, Cypress, and Jest. Experience in addressing performance and optimization issues. Comfortable with and can use Build Tools (webpack, rollup). Proven experience in software design and implementation, security, cloud, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and any relevant hardware. Interest in responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility standards. Passionate about delivering solutions, owning the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), living the DevSecOps principles, and being curious about emerging technologies. Self-driven and constantly striving to improve your team, division, and peers. A strong advocate for agile/lean delivery methodologies.
