Finishing Shop Operator - late shift Location: Aldershot, Hampshire (Onsite) Salary: Flexible dependant on experience (20% shift premium) Work pattern: Starting on the 1st shift during training which is 6:30 - 15:30 Mon - Thurs & 6:00 - 13:00 Friday. Once trained you will be moved onto the second shift which is 37 hours/week, Monday – Thursday, working 14:45 - 00:00. Job Profile The Finishing Shop Operator will be responsible for operating machinery and carrying out manual finishing processes such as deburring, fettling, polishing, and part marking. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to quality, as it involves ensuring all parts meet customer specifications and company standards. Key Responsibilities / Duties Operate machinery and perform manual finishing tasks to deburr, polish, and finish aerospace parts. Conduct visual inspections to ensure parts meet required drawings and specifications. Maintain a high level of quality control to minimise inspection returns. Support team members by assisting with additional tasks as required. Follow company procedures and quality system requirements at all times. Keep the work area clean, safe, and well-organised. Maintain punctuality and reliability in daily duties. Comply with all health and safety policies and complete any necessary training. Requirements / Skills Previous experience in a similar hands-on role within a production or manufacturing environment. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and occasionally noisy setting. Willingness to learn and develop new skills in a supportive team environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work. Good verbal and written communication skills.
