Plumber
Position: Plumber
Location: Midlands based but working nationwide.
Reporting office: Burton upon Trent.
Basic Salary: £30k – £35k depending on qualifications and experience.
Overtime paid for every hour worked over contractual hours, and weekends and bank holidays at premium rates.

The Role
We are looking for a qualified plumber and we require the following previous experience:
1. Copper soldered and MapPress, MDPE and PVC solvent welded pipework.
2. Full understanding of current water-related regulations, including ACoP L8 (Fourth addition) and HTM’s.
3. Minimum of 5 years of plumbing experience is essential along with an aptitude for problem solving with high standards of workmanship and a can-do attitude.
4. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
5. Be IT literate as all of Franks Portlock processes are electronic.
6. Have great attention to detail and high quality of finish.
As a Remedial plumber, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Deliver great customer service and experience to our clients – bring your personality to work and be personable and polite.
2. Read and understand site plans and schematics.
3. Order and track task-specific materials and equipment.
4. Able to supervise a small team.
5. Able to keep clear and concise records, including photographic evidence.
6. All documentation to be completed thoroughly to the company standards.
7. Be a clear and accurate coordinator, and have good customer-facing skills.
8. Able to control stock and ensure levels are always correct.
9. Look after company property including van and tools.
10. A can-do attitude is essential and being able to multitask.
11. Essential to be planned and organised and being able to work to tight time schedules.
12. Good timekeeping is essential.
13. Ensure company standards are delivered at all times, including being in work uniform and a presentable appearance.
14. Be willing to travel nationwide and occasionally stay away from home when necessary.
15. Be able to survey jobs and produce quotations.
Mandatory for the Role
* Full Driving licence.
* Willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
Desirable for the Role
* PASMA experience.
* IPAF experience.
The candidate must take pride in their work, be always presentable and conduct themselves in a professional manner as a representative of Franks Portlock Consulting.
You must be IT literate and have excellent attention to detail and accurate reporting skills.
This role is physically demanding, access can be restricted, and heavy lifting is involved; confined space training will be given.
