Shift Leader Front of House - Broadmead, Bristol
Reports To: General Store Manager
Position Summary
You are the Captain of your Area. You are responsible to ensure consistency of Service standards, excellent service and maintain the cleanliness and condition of the Front of House. You are accountable in achieving the store’s sales and profit by maintaining upselling procedures and guest care. It is your responsibility to keep your people driven and create a cheerful professional working environment that will keep our Guests wanting to return to German Doner Kebab
Duties and Responsibilities
Leads Operations Excellence:
1. Oversees and manages the Front of House area at a German Doner Kebab Restaurant
2. Ensures guest service meets company standards and strong customer satisfaction is maintained
3. Respond efficiently to Guest complaints and takes appropriate action to solve the problem
4. Enforces and ensures the best quality of products possible is served
5. Organise the Front of House and supervise responsibilities to ensure both team colleagues and guests satisfaction
6. Trains and directs team members through strong well organised training to ensure great guest service
7. Appraise personnel’s performance and provide feedback to keep the team motivated and productive
8. Maintain Stock inventory for Front of House and analyse consumption
9. Monitors and ensures compliance with food safety and health & safety rules and regulations
10. Successfully promote and publicize the GDK brand
11. Nurture a positive working environment and leads by example
12. Monitor Front of House operations and initiate corrective actions
13. To be duty manager on rotation basis
14. Lead Pre- and Post-Shift rally with the Front of House team to communicate set targets, share feedback and brief the team about any business related information
15. Taking responsibility for the business performance of the front of House of a German Doner Kebab restaurant
16. To ensure the Front of House is operating according to GDK guidelines
17. Address the root cause of Front of House related Guest complaints and take action to resolve the problem
18. Ensuring that all employees at the Front of House adhere to the company uniform standards
19. Meeting and greeting guests and organising table reservations
20. Organising and supervising the shifts of dining and counterstaff
21. Maintaining high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety
22. Preparing cash drawers and providing petty cash as required
23. Helping in any position of the Front of House when circumstances dictate
24. To take a proactive role in encouraging teamwork, cooperation, harmony, productivity and a positive attitude within the working environment
25. At the end of each shift complete all necessary daily reports
26. Attend any training or meetings as and when required by German Doner Kebab or the Franchisee
27. To perform any other duties as designated by Operations Manager due to business demands
28. Working with General Store Manager to coordinate all aspects of the Front of House
29. To monitor the stock storage areas and Front of House neat and clean at all times
30. To collaborate with the General Store Manager and the Store Team to ensure tight stock control and budgeted margins are achieved
31. To fill out daily paperwork
32. To meet and greet all customers where possible and role model exceptional guest care
33. To lead and comply with maintaining high standards of guest care
34. To support team colleagues at peak times and to undertake any operational duty which might be reasonably required, to ensure guest expectations are met
35. Ensure GDK Front of House team are always well groomed and smart ready for work
36. At all times promote and follow legal responsibilities and requirements associated with the business
37. Have a good working knowledge of all equipment and efficiently takes care of preventative maintenance

Qualifications:
A qualified candidate for the position of a Supervisor Front of House should have outstanding interactive and communication skills and possess the enthusiasm to work with colleague and team as a team player. In addition to these, the following qualities, skills, knowledge, and abilities are most sought:
43. Proven working experience as Supervisor/Duty Manager within the Food Industry
44. Demonstrated experience in guest service management
45. Extensive guest care knowledge
46. Proficiency in English
47. Computer literacy and familiarity with POS systems
48. Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
49. Financial management skills
