Job Profile
The post holder will work closely with The London Clinic's (TLC) nursing teams and Gynaecology Consultants both in an inpatient and outpatient setting to continue transforming patient care and improving patient outcomes.
The post holder will provide specialist nursing care to gynaecological patients with benign conditions or surgical interventions at The London Clinic, working closely with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to maintain the highest standards of care.
They will support healthcare teams in implementing evidence-based practice and contribute to the development of the gynaecology service alongside the gynae-oncology CNS.
Using their expertise in enhanced recovery, they will develop and lead an Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) service for surgical gynaecology patients, ensuring seamless integration across inpatient and outpatient care pathways in collaboration with the MDT. Additionally, they will oversee endometriosis data collection, working towards establishing a designated Endometriosis Centre.
Undertake ward rounds, clinical assessments, monitor patient progress, and coordinate care plans for surgical and other benign gynaecology patients, ensuring continuity of care.
* Educate patients and their families about recovery expectations, self-care techniques, and rehabilitation following surgery
* Provide expertise and care to gynaecology patients, this includes optimal care for inpatients, outpatients and their families.
* Assess, plan, implement and evaluate all aspects of the patient's physical, psychological, and social needs,
* Provide support to patients and their families during their diagnosis, ensuring that they have information to help them make informed decisions regarding their treatment.
* Offer support and clinical expertise to help manage menopausal symptoms holistically.
* Support improved outcomes for patients with endometriosis through endometriosis data collection.
* Provide expert advice and support to both patients and healthcare professionals, ensuring high-quality care standards are met and patient satisfaction is maximized.
* Act as a role model, mentor and educator for nursing staff and support their professional development.
* Contribute to audits, and the evaluation of service improvements to ensure the highest standards of patient care.

Desired Skills and Experience
Skills & Experience:
- Registered General Nurse with valid NMC registration.
- Post-graduate qualification in gynaecology.
- Post registration experience in benign gynaecological, with a thorough understanding of enhanced recovery principles and protocols and endometriosis.
- Experience in leading and delivering training and teaching.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices in surgical gynaecology and the ability to implement service improvements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under pressure and effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to provide compassionate, high-quality care and lead change within a busy healthcare setting.
