Nalco Water, an Ecolab Company, seeks an Account Manager to join its industry leading sales team. You’ll be responsible for revenue and profitable growth of programs and services to both local and global major accounts. Using a consultative sales approach, you’ll build relationships with existing customers by executing system assurance programs that meet their key business needs. With strong account leadership, you’ll also convert strategic competitive accounts and sell new technologies to current customers.
This role is a Senior account manager for the North West England area. In charge of a account base working closely with a dynamic team to carry out weekly/monthly technical service visits for utility systems on Manufacturing, Food and Beverage and Institutional customers.
What You Will Do:
1. Lead the TCO drive on each site focused on both organic and prospect growth.
2. Accountable for all compliance associated with the assigned territory
3. Pull together both the internal and 3rd party activities on assigned customer sites.
4. Supporting/coaching role within a small team
5. Generate and execute sales plans and strategies to close new opportunities within existing customer base, and in major, competitively-held accounts, to meet defined territory profit increase goals. Target % sales time will be approximately 30%, both organic and prospecting. Other portion of time is service/ account management.
6. Work closely with large, strategic current and prospective customers to understand business needs and recommend continuous improvement and innovation plans that will maintain and grow sales within assigned territory
7. Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders within current and prospective customers, including plant or facility executives. Work with our corporate managers to deliver the global plan as well as the area manager for the local.
8. Engage in problem solving by performing system analysis, interpreting data and providing written recommendations to ensure customer operations are performing at optimal levels. Working towards sign off of TCO opportunities.
9. Demonstrate the ability to stabilize jeopardy business in large, strategic accounts

Territory/Location Information:
17. This position is based in North West England - flexible location
18. Territory not limited to cover about a 150 mile radius of the surrounding area
19. Targeted accounts are within the Institutional, Food and Beverage (Dairy, Alcohol etc) and Light Manufacturing industries.
20. Some but not frequent overnight travel is required

Training programs are typically held in the field and at Nalco Water European Headquarters in Netherlands; travel is arranged and paid for by Nalco Water. Based on your skill level and experience, topics covered may include technology, product, service, business and industry acumen, direct coaching and mentoring, sales management and leadership, classroom training and certifications.

Minimum Qualifications:
21. Bachelor's degree
22. Five years of technical sales or field sales support experience
23. Possess a valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
24. Immigration sponsorship is not available for this role
Preferred Qualifications:
25. Bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemical, mechanical, industrial) or life sciences (biology, chemistry,. Other degrees will be considered.
26. Water treatment or specialty chemical industry experience
27. Working knowledge of boilers, cooling towers, and wastewater treatment systems is required.
