We are a BRCGS AA+ accredited Bakery based in the Midlands. We are also a nut free, halal friendly, RSPO and RFA accredited site. We serve national foodservice and retail customers all around the UK.
In this key role, you will work closely with our production and operational teams to ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. What You’ll Be Doing
* Ensuring compliance with the latest BRC Food Safety Standard, managing risks, and leading food safety initiatives, including HACCP and allergen management.
* Leading and developing a team of Quality Technicians, embedding a culture of ownership and accountability for food safety and quality.
* Driving improvement by leading external technical audits, internal audits, resolving quality incidents, investigating complaints, and implementing preventative measures.
* Overseeing and enhancing the Quality Management System, supporting operational projects, and ensuring the smooth commissioning of new equipment.
* Tracking non-conformance trends, reporting on key quality metrics, and providing updates to support continuous improvement.
* Work closely with our External Technical Consultant with regards to new customer requests and requirements.
Who You Are
Essential:
* Strong knowledge and experience of latest BRCGS Food Safety Standards, UK food law, and industry regulations.
* Ability to assess situations clearly and make timely, proactive decisions.
* Internal auditing experience with excellent attention to detail.
* Level 3 certification in Food Safety & HACCP.
* Awareness and practical experience in TACCP (Threat Assessment and Critical Control Points).
* Able to work proactively and independently, taking initiative to maintain and enhance quality standards.
Desirable:
* Experience delivering training on food safety and compliance.
* Background in baked goods, confectionery, or similar food production environments. 3-5 years experience/knowledge at least.

* £60,000-£70,000 per annum (pro-rata)
