My client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join their team as a Purchasing or Planning Coordinator. You will play a key role in driving operational success, working closely with suppliers, production, and internal teams to ensure smooth, efficient processes.
Develop and maintain production schedules to ensure materials are available to meet production demand.
Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels, avoiding overstock or stockouts.
Conduct regular inventory audits and forecast material requirements based on production needs and market trends.
Source and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best pricing, quality, and delivery terms for raw materials and components.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and reliable deliveries.
Manage purchase orders (POs), ensuring accuracy and alignment with production schedules and budget constraints.
Use ERP and MRP systems to manage and update production plans, inventory records, and purchasing data.
Ensure all relevant data in the ERP/MRP systems is accurate and up-to-date, facilitating smooth production and supply chain operations.
Generate reports and analyse data to support planning and procurement decisions
Monitor and control purchasing costs to ensure they stay within budget.
Identify opportunities for cost savings through supplier negotiations or process improvements.
Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, supplier agreements, and production schedules for audit and compliance purposes.
Experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in ERP and MRP systems.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a small, dedicated team.

Salary: Up to £40,000 (depending on experience).
