Health and Safety Manager
Pinpoint Resourcing are partnering a dynamic and vibrant property company to source a Health and Safety Manager to be based at the head office of a large commercial property business with occasional travel to their various London-based sites.
Objectives:
1. Work with the Head of Health & Safety to ensure the company meets its statutory and contractual obligations.
2. Support the Head of Health & Safety in the day-to-day management of the health and safety function and be the first point of contact for providing day-to-day support and advice to employees, customers, and contractors.
3. Assist the Head of Health and Safety in developing and implementing control measures to mitigate potential risks, driving safety leadership and behavioural safety.
4. Work proactively with company employees, customers, contractors, and others in the effective application of their health and safety arrangements in a manner that promotes an open, positive safety culture.
Main Responsibilities:
Compliance
1. Ensure that the health and safety policies and procedures are communicated at all levels within the organisation.
2. Advise the Head of Health and Safety on the implications of current and emerging health and safety legislation and advise on potential risks and control measures required to ensure compliance.
Risk Management
1. Work with stakeholders to design, manage, assess, train, and support health and safety activities throughout the organisation.
2. Support the various operational functions in undertaking/reviewing their risk assessments; ensure the assessments are suitable, sufficient, and comply with legislative requirements; ensuring the risk assessments are reviewed and updated following accidents and incidents.
3. Monitor Centre/Facilities Management and development activities across the portfolio to identify and mitigate the risk to employees, customers, and other affected persons.
4. Work with managers to ensure that all staff adhere to and comply with Workspace’s policies and procedures.
5. Investigate, or where appropriate, assist others in the investigation of the causes of accidents and near-misses, and take the necessary steps to train staff and instigate controls to prevent their re-occurrence.
6. Take action to mitigate the probability and impact of health and safety risks that are reported or encountered.
7. Ensure that significant risks are escalated without delay to the Head of Health and Safety.
Salary + Additional Information
£50,000 - £55,000
25 days holiday + Bank holidays (increasing by 1 day every year to a max of 30 days)
