To demonstrate a high standard of ultrasound skills and interpretation of diagnostic ultrasound information in line with the departmental evidence-based protocols.
Implement and participate in QA of all Imaging Ultrasound scanners. To prioritise the departmental workload on a day-to-day basis. Be responsible for time management and prioritising your own workload.
Act as supervisor/mentor to sonographers & student sonographers.
Communicate incidents/complaints to the Superintendent Sonographer and participate in the investigations of complaints. Assist in developing and maintaining evidence-based quality standards that are regularly audited, and initiate appropriate changes in practice.
Active involvement in service development, improvement, and redesign. Develop and maintain effective communication with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure effective patient management.
